Rocky
Mountain High - the show
The music of John Denver tells stories, expresses love, sadness
and joy; it touches the hearts of millions. Songs like "Annie's
Son", "Perhaps Love", "Country Roads"
and "Calypso" are true classics, songs that will
always arouse emotions . Trevor Knight, a two time Golden
Guitar winner, sings John Denver and a comment after one of
his concerts says it all: "You're not trying to be
John, or trying to sound like him. you just are!"
Trevor
has been associated with John's music for a long time, having
first been aware of it when he was playing in Nashville 1971.
In 1974 he won TCN 9's Starquest with his version of "Leaving
on a Jet Plane" and through his 9 year association with
Ray Martin's Midday Show, he got to know John and performed
on the same show."Rocky Mountain High" is a fully
self contained show featuring a talented support act and a
back up band of great musicians.
Trevor
performs all of John's greatest hits as well as songs that
aren't so well known, but it is much more than that - Trevor
is well known in his own right as a songwriter and storyteller
and uses his talent to lead you on a journey through John's
life and career.
Trevor sings with great passion and understanding, as Ray
Martin stated "Trevor is a songwriter's singer. I envy
his talent!"
